I, the undersigned, confirm I am over 18 (or legal age of majority in my
country of residence) and that my stay at any Mad Monkey property worldwide,
and participation in any activities, is entirely at my own risk. I agree to
abide by all applicable house rules, terms of use, and privacy policies.
I confirm I have appropriate medical and travel insurance. I understand
Mad Monkey staff prioritise my safety and I agree to follow their
instructions. My participation in any tour, event, excursion, or wellness
activity is at my own risk.
Key responsibilities
Personal belongings: I am responsible for securing
valuables and the safety of my personal belongings.
Motorbike, bicycle use & activities: If I operate a
motorbike, I confirm I am insured and hold a valid licence. Otherwise, I
will ride only as a passenger. I accept full responsibility for risks
associated with motorbike or bicycle use and all activities, and will
follow staff instructions.
Conduct & prohibited substances: I will not swim,
operate a motorbike, or drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Illegal drug use is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in removal
and reporting to authorities.
Medical emergencies: I will notify staff of any food
allergies or pre-existing medical conditions and carry necessary emergency
medication. I authorise Mad Monkey staff to arrange medical
treatment/evacuation at my cost if deemed necessary.
General liability
The Guest shall be responsible for any damage or loss to the property,
equipment, or furnishings caused directly or indirectly by the Guest or by
individuals for whom the Guest is accountable. This includes, but is not
limited to, incidents resulting from negligence, wilful misconduct, theft,
or any other criminal acts. The Guest agrees to fully reimburse the hostel
for the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged items.
Damage to linens and furnishings
The Guest is liable for any damage to sheets, linens, towels, curtains,
or other soft furnishings. This includes damages caused by stains, burns,
tears, or other forms of negligence. The Guest agrees to bear the cost of
cleaning, repair, or replacement as determined necessary by the hostel.
Bed & pillow misuse
Guests acknowledge that misuse of beds or pillows, or using any bed not
assigned to them, will incur a 1,000 THB charge to cover
cleaning, replacement, and operational disruption.
Smoking policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited within the premises. Any violation of
this policy will result in a cleaning fee, in addition to any associated
costs for damage repair or odour removal. The Guest is also liable for any
further damages or regulatory penalties arising from smoking on the
property.
Alcohol consumption
The consumption of alcohol leading to disruptive behaviour or property
damage is strictly prohibited. The Guest is responsible for any damage
resulting from alcohol abuse, including but not limited to spills, stains,
or harm to furnishings and equipment. The hostel reserves the right to
charge the Guest for cleaning, repair, or replacement costs. Additionally,
the consumption of alcohol in guest rooms is not permitted under any
circumstances.
Waiver & release
I hereby release, waive, and discharge Mad Monkey Pte. Ltd. and all its
subsidiaries, properties, agents, partners, contractors, and suppliers
from any and all liability for personal injury, property loss or damage,
or other claims arising from my stay or participation in any Mad Monkey
activity, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Cross-property validity & expiration
This Waiver applies to all Mad Monkey properties worldwide and stays
valid for twelve (12) months from signing, unless updated. I won't need to
sign again at other locations during this time, except if local laws or
new activities require it. I agree to sign any new or updated waivers if
requested.
Local waiver riders
Local Waiver Riders supplement this Global Check-in & Guest
Liability Waiver & Release and address specific legal and cultural
considerations for each country where Mad Monkey operates. By signing the
Global Waiver, I also agree to the applicable Local Rider for my country
